The number of lifting cycles a fully charged battery pack can provide varies greatly and is dependent on several factors including the weight of the patient, the height of lifting, and the age of battery. The heavier the patient, the less the lifting cycles. The higher the patient is lifted above the transfer surface, the less the lifting cycles. The older the battery, the less the lifting cycles because it may not hold as much charge as when new.

However, it is not recommended to use the battery to depletion and to leave it depleted for an extended amount of time. It's best to leave the battery to charge fully overnight each night so that the lift is fully charged and ready for use the following day.
