Check the system for proper setup

  1. Is the red emergency button in the up position?



    No,
    - Twist the red emergency button clockwise to pop up the red button. The lift WILL NOT work with the button in the down position.

    Yes,
    - The control box is turned on, go to the next step. 

  2. Does the LCD on the control box light up?



    No,
    - Make sure the battery is properly inserted into the control box. See picture below for reference.
    - Make sure the clear plastic located at the battery contact is removed,
    - Battery may be completely drained, charge the battery overnight,
    - Or Battery could be dead, replace the battery.




    Yes,
    - Battery is working, go to the next step.

  3. Is your actuator/hand control properly connected?

     

    No,
    - The plug needs to be properly connected as shown above.
    - Sometimes the O-ring providing the water-resistant feature makes the plug difficult to insert.
    - Make sure the notch on the plug lines up with the groove on the control box.
    - Make sure you match the plug with the right port by their colors.

    Yes,
    - Go to the next step.
     

Battery and Charging

  1. Is the screen showing “Attention! Recharge or Exchange"?



    Yes,
    - your battery could be depleted, recharge your battery. While charging your battery, make sure you pop up the red button. (The red button on the control box must be popped up in order to charge.)
     Note: The lift will not work while the charger is plugged into the control box.You need to disconnect the charger to operate the lift. 
    - If you have tried to charge your battery and this sign is still appearing, then the battery cells could be dead and you need a replacement battery.

    No,
    - Go to the next step.
     

  2. The battery shows it is fully charged, but when you push up/down, the system suddenly shuts off?

    Yes,
    -The battery is defective, replace the battery.

    No,
    -Go to the next step.
     

  3. Is the indicator light green on the charger when it is plugged into the wall outlet?



    No,
    - The charger is defective, replace the charger

    Yes,
    - Go to the next step.
     

  4. Is the metal part of the charger plug that goes into the control box deformed?



    Yes,
    - The charger is damaged, replace the charger.

    No,
    - Go to the next step.
     

  5. Does the green light turn amber when the charger is plugged into the control box?

    No,
    - Oftentimes, the light could take up to 10 seconds to turn amber. Wait and see if it does.
    - The battery may be fully charged. The light will not turn amber, or switch between amber and green.
    - The battery may be dead, replace the battery. A dead battery cannot be charged, so the green light will never turn amber.

    Yes,
    - Go to the next step.
     

  6. Is there a lightning bolt symbol on the control box screen when it is charging?



    No,
    - The charger is not plugged into the charger properly, see picture 1 below for reference.
    - Often times, it may take the charger about 10 seconds to start charging.
    - If you are able to, check the charger plug for a voltage reading (need a Multimeter, see picture 2 below for reference)
             - If there is a voltage reading, the control box is defective. Replace the control box.
             - If there is no voltage reading, the charger is defective. Replace the charger.
             - If there are no tools to measure the voltage, may need to replace both components.

Check your control box

  1. Press Up/Down button on the control box/ hand control, do you see the corresponding arrow appear on the screen?




    No,
    - If pressing Up/Down on the control box results in an arrow showing up on the screen, but when pressing Up/Down on the hand control the arrow does not show up; the hand control is defective and needs to be replaced.
    - If pressing Up/Down on both control box and hand control, and no arrow shows up, then the control box could be defective and needs to be replaced.

    Yes,
    - Go to the next step.
     

  2. Press Up/Down button on the control box/hand control, do you hear a "clicking" sound from the control box?

    No,
    - The control box is defective, replace the control box.

    Yes,
    - The control box is working go to the next step.
     

Check the actuator

  1. Do you hear a smooth motor sound coming from the actuator when using the lift?


    No,
    - Make sure the actuator is plugged in all the way,
    - Make sure the screen on the control box has up/down arrow showing up.
    - If all else fails, the actuator is defective and you need a replacement.

    Yes,
    - Go to next step
     

  2. Do you hear very loud rough motor sound coming from the actuator when using the lift?

    Yes,
    - The gears inside the actuator are stripped, replace the actuator.

    No,
    - Go to the next step
     

Hand Control

  1. Does the hand control light up?


    No,
    - Your hand control may not be properly plugged in.
    - The button may not be pressed down, may need to press the button harder.
    - You have a defective hand control, need a replacement.
